In the No. 1 match, junior Sabita Maharaj (Gainesville, Fla. / Buchholz H.S.) and junior Melissa Schaub (Lexington, Ohio / Lexington H.S.) lost to Petra Bercik and Isabel Rosenbrock by an identical 8-6 count.
