COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Despite two singles victories, the University of Tennessee women's tennis team fell 4-2 Friday night to the nation's third-ranked team Texas A&M at the Mitchell Tennis Center.

At No. 3 doubles, Texas A&M freshmen twins Ines and Paula Deheza won over Lady Vols Sarah Toti and Tiffany Tavares, 8-2 to put the Aggies up 1-0.

Texas A&M extended its lead to 2-0 as Stefania Hristov defeated Jesse Grace, playing in her first SEC match of the season , 6-0, 6-0.

The Lady Vols made things interesting by knotting the match at two-apiece after Tavares downed Sun 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5 singles followed by a win by No. 38 Szekely over No. 68 Cristina Stancu, 6-2, 6-2 on court two.
