TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Two University of Tennessee women's tennis players scored three victories on day one of the Roberta Alison Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Friday afternoon.
"They both competed hard today," said co-head coach Sonia Hahn-Patrick. "For playing for the first time together at doubles, they had good chemistry. Both girls had a tough first round but they bounced back strong for their second round match."
The duo started the day with an 8-4 win in doubles defeating Joana Eidukowyte/Carola Pederzani (Clemson) to advance in the winners bracket.
