WTennis Earns ITA Tennis Rankings

KNOXVILLE - In the first rankings of the 2014 season, the Tennessee women's tennis team has earned a 31st place ranking in the latest ITA Division I Tennis Polls.

The Lady Vols are tied with the University of Memphis in 31st place after finishing the 2013 season ranked 31st.

Tennessee is one of 10 SEC schools ranked in the top-50 in the country.

Tennessee has three players earning individual rankings with freshman Eve Repic earning the nod at No. 53 in the country while junior Joanna Henderson earns her first career singles ranking coming in at No. 99 in the country after a stellar fall campaign.

Henderson teams up with fellow classmate Caitlyn Williams for a No. 43 doubles ranking. The duo was 7-1 during the fall season.

The Lady Vols kick off 2014 at the UVA Winter Invitational in Charlottesville from January 18-20. The dual season begins the following weekend at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Clemson, S.C. when Tennessee will take on Purdue.
