KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Lady Vol tennis team will play seven of its 13 Southeastern Conference opponents at home in 2013, but neither newest league members Missouri nor Texas A&M will be one of them, as the SEC released its conference schedule for next year Thursday.
The Lady Vols will play the Aggies and Tigers on the road, each in the last weekend of March. Tennessee will face Texas A&M on March 29 for the first time since 1996 and the ninth time overall, before traveling to Missouri on March 31, signaling the first meeting between the two schools.
On March 1, Tennessee will open its SEC slate with Georgia for the first time in a series that dates back to 1980, as the Lady Vols host their first three and five of their first seven conference matches.
UT makes its initial SEC road trip on the weekend of March 15-17, playing at South Carolina and Florida. The Lady Vols will also close the 2013 regular-season on the road, at Auburn (April 14).
Tennessee hosts Georgia (March 1), Mississippi State (March 8), Ole Miss (March 10), Kentucky (March 22), Vanderbilt (March 24), Arkansas (April 5) and LSU (April 7).
The Lady Vols will travel to South Carolina (March 15), Florida (March 17), Texas A&M (March 29), Missouri (March 31), Alabama (April 12) and Auburn (April 14).
The Lady Vols and Vols will both be home March 24 against Vanderbilt in a rare home SEC doubleheader.
