KNOXVILLE - To add to her list of postseason awards, University of Tennessee women's tennis freshman Eve Repic was named the 2014 Ohio Valley ITA Rookie Player of the Year Tuesday afternoon.

Repic, who was named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman Team earlier this season, earns her third postseason nod from the ITA. She has been ranked in the ITA Singles Rankings since the initial poll in January.

Repic is the first Lady Vol to earn the honor since Brynn Boren did so in 2011. She is just the fourth ever UT women's tennis player to be named ITA Regional Rookie of the Year.

1989 - Stacey Martin (Southeast)
1990 - Michelle McMillen (Southeast)
2011 - Brynn Boren (Ohio Valley)
2014 - Eve Repic (Ohio Valley)

The Oakville, Ontario native finished the 2013-14 regular season with a 22-12 record, 13-9 in singles play, playing all of her dual matches from the No. 1 singles spot.

The rookie notched a 9-3 record over regional opponents (5-1 in dual matches). Two of her five regional dual victories were over ranked opponents.

Repic defeated fellow freshman Sydney Campbell of Vanderbilt at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship by a 6-0, 6-2 score.
