KNOXVILLE - The University of Tennessee women's tennis team earned ITA All-Academic team honors and six Lady Vols were named ITA Scholar-Athletes following the 2013-14 season.
This marks the third consecutive season the Lady Vols earned the team honor. The six Lady Vols to earn Scholar-Athlete honors were the most in Tennessee history. Five Lady Vols earned the honor last season.
Freshmen Ashlee Boles, Laurence Guevremont, Brittany Lindl, and Ambika Pande, junior Caitlyn Williams and senior Kayla McMurry were all named ITA Scholar Athletes after keeping their respective grade point averages above 3.50.
The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
McMurry earned the honor for the third time in her Tennessee career, Williams is earning her second straight honor and Boles, Guevremont, Lindl and Pande were named scholar-athletes for the first time.
