SKILLMAN, N.J. - As announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Friday, University of Tennessee women's tennis players Brynn Boren and Kata Szekelyfound themselves in the Campbell/ITA Division I Women's Preseason Rankings.

Boren is recognized as the 18th best singles player in the country, fifth in the SEC, while Szekely is ranked 28th, and sixth in the SEC.

The duo also combined for the 34th best doubles tandem in division I women's tennis.

Boren was a member of the 2012 First Team All-SEC, and was named to the 2012 ITA Ohio Valley Region Player To Watch list. She posted a 25-13 record, including a 16-7 dual-match record and a 7-2 SEC mark also finishing the season as the highest-ranked Lady Vol at 31.

Szekely, and All-SEC Second Team selection, finished the season with 26-9 (18-6) record, leading the Lady Vols with 26 wins while playing from top three positions. She defeated 9-16 seed and 12th-ranked Emina Bektas (Michigan) to advance to the NCAA Singles Tournament's Round of 32, marking the highest-ranked win of her career.

Boren played the majority of the season with Sarah Totiat No. 2 doubles and the duo propelled to No. 2 in national doubles rankings the week of Feb. 16, finishing the season ranked 31 nationally and second in the region.

Szekely partnered with graduated senior Natalie Pluskotaon the doubles front becoming Tennessee's 15th All-American after reaching the semifinals of the NCAA Doubles Tournament alongside Pluskota. She led the team with 31 (31-5) doubles wins, including a 19-2 dual match record. The 31 doubles wins were the 13th-most by a Lady Vol all-time in a single season.

Also released are the players chosen to compete in the 2012 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.

Boren has found a spot in the Main Draw Singles competition while Szekely is listed as an alternate for the event.

Szekely will be have a chance to earn a spot as she is competing in the singles qualifying competition.

The duo will have to qualify for the main draw doubles competition.
