KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Inside The Orange profiled track & field's Chanelle Price, a standout on the oval and in the classroom. She talks about her career, what makes her excel in the classroom and her career aspirations, which include publishing a women's sports magazine.
Price is a senior from Easton, Pa. She has earned a 3.93 grade point average while majoring in journalism and electronic media and working on a minor in business administration. She earned first-team Capital One Academic All-America and Academic All-District IV accolades last year and was the 2011 SEC Track & Field Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year as well as making the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the third time.
On the track, Price is an eight-time All-American, two-time NCAA champion, five-time SEC champion and 13-time scorer in conference meets. She owns two world records, three American and collegiate records, and four UT bests.
Teammate Nijgia Snapp, also a middle distance runner for the Lady Vols, provides insight on Price.
