KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee volleyball team will make five television appearances during the upcoming 2013 season, the SEC, in conjunction with ESPNU, FOX SportSouth (SPSO), Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) and Cox Sports Television (CST) announced on Wednesday. Combined, the networks will broadcast 18 live SEC volleyball matches this year.
The Lady Vols will first appear on SportSouth when they host Missouri on Friday, Oct. 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET. UT's Sunday match on Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. ET will also be broadcast on SportSouth. The network's footprint includes FS Southwest and FS Midwest.
The Big Orange welcomes Georgia to Thompson-Boling Arena on Sunday, Nov. 3 for a 2 p.m. ET matchup that will air on CSS or CST.
Tennessee will be featured on ESPNU, which broadcast to more than 75 million homes, on Wednesday, Nov. 20 for a 5:30 p.m. ET tilt against Florida in Knoxville. The match will also be available on WatchESPN.
UT concludes its televised games on Sunday, Nov. 24 when the squad travels to Alabama. The 2 p.m. ET contest will be shown on CSS or CST.
Areas covered by Comcast will see matches on CSS, while areas covered by Cox (LSU, Arkansas and Florida) will see matches on CST.
Tennessee's five televised matches are the second-most in the league, with Florida leading the way with six. Georgia will be making four appearances.
UT opens the 2013 campaign on Aug. 30 at the Cincinnati Invitational where the team faces Morehead State at 10:30 a.m. ET and Cincinnati at 7 p.m. ET.
