KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Local product Megan Hatcher is the focus of this edition of #TNVB Serves Up.
A Knoxville native and lifelong Vol fan, Hatcher realized a childhood dream when she slipped on the Orange & White as a true freshman in 2012. That season, Hatcher appeared in just 12 sets for Tennessee. The 5-5 Webb School graduate took giant strides as sophomore, however, logging time in all 32 matches for the Lady Vols, racking up 162 digs, 10 assists, and seven aces in that span.
This season, Hatcher is one of just four upperclassmen to appear on the UT roster and has been tabbed by head coach Rob Patrick as one of the veteran leaders of the club.
Tennessee volleyball takes the court for the first time in 2014 when it faces Tennessee Tech this Friday at the Appalachian Invitational in Boone, North Carolina.
