The Lady Vol Marketing Department has teamed up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Race for the Cure to hold three events to recognize survivors and promote breast cancer awareness at a Lady Vol Volleyball, Basketball and Softball home contest.
The first of three "Pink Ribbon Sunday" events will be this Sunday's Lady Vol Volleyball match against SEC rival Georgia at 1:30 p.m. in Stokely Athletic Center.
All fans that wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness will be admitted for free.
Members of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority will be present for any fan that would like to pre-register for Race for the Cure which will take place October 28, 2006 in World's Fair Park.
Rob Patrick's team looks to extend a six-game winning streak over the Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday. The Lady Vols have claimed 12 of the last 15 match-ups and have not lost at home in the series since a 3-2 decision went to Georgia on Nov. 11, 2001. Entering the weekend, UT stands in second place in the Eastern Division, a game behind defending SEC Champion Florida. The Lady Vols will take on South Carolina Friday night, October 6th at 7 p.m.
