KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Join the University of Tennessee volleyball team as they "Dig for the Cure" on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. against the Auburn Tigers at Thompson-Boling Arena. This second annual event is part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, we want to do our part to help spread the word," UT Women's Athletics Director Joan Cronan said. "Last year we raised almost $2,000 to help fight breast cancer. We challenge Lady Vols fans to raise even more this year."

The Lindsay Young Downtown YMCA will loan a pink treadmill, which will be set up courtside, to help promote breast cancer awareness and research. The YMCA will donate 10 cents for each mile that is walked or ran during the event. The Knoxville affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will be collecting donations at the match, which will support breast cancer research. All fans in pink will receive free admission and kids 12-and-under will receive a free hot dog and drink.
