GOODFRIEND INDOOR TENNIS CENTER
With only four courts, the current Goodfriend Indoor Tennis Center is unable to host SEC and NCAA Championship Tournaments. The first phase of the Campaign for Tennessee Tennis includes expanding the facility to add two more indoor courts, providing a total of six courts for match play. This expansion would strengthen UT’s candidacy to host future conference and national tournaments and the improvements will also have a direct impact on the continued success of the Tennessee tennis program.
Total Cost of Phase I: $3 million
Phase I
- Expand indoor courts from 4 to 6
- Extensive renovations and improvements to coaches offices and training room
- New men’s and women’s locker rooms
- New men’s and women’s players lounge / team room
- Expansion of outdoor stands at court level
- Construction of a new club house and press box
- Addition of a hospitality area
- New strength and conditioning area
