The Tennessee Fund was founded in 1986 with hopes of growing the UT's men's athletic programs and allows each team to compete among the nation's best intercollegiate athletic programs. The Tennessee Fund is designed to give student-athletes at the University of Tennessee the opportunity to compete both athletically and academically while also funding some of the department's operating expenses. The Tennessee Fund makes it possible for Tennessee fans to support "The Big Orange" while receiving various member benefits.

When you think of the Tennessee Fund, think of the many intelligent, hard-working and dedicated individuals who care about the University and most of all, the student-athletes. The Tennessee Fund is not only the staff members who work behind the scenes to provide financial assistance, athletic opportunities and educational opportunities for student-athletes, but it is also Tennessee Fund members all over the country. Tennessee Fund members are the bench, the backbone of our program, and we are successful because of their unfailing commitment. The generosity and dedication of Tennessee Fund members enable the university and the Tennessee Fund to thrive and grow more and more each year. The staff and faculty members at the University of Tennessee, along with members of the Tennessee Fund, make the excitement of winning championships and obtaining a college degree possible for our student-athletes.
