Former University of Tennessee defensive back Mikki Allen joined the Tennessee Fund in August 2009 and currently serves as Associate Director for Development. In this role, his responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, and stewarding major gift prospects to grow the annual fund and capital campaign participation.

Most recently, Allen worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a specialty representative for Pfizer and Takeda North America. Prior to that, he was the Chief Executive Officer of 29/34 Vintage Sportswear, Inc., a licensed nostalgia jersey company that won the 2003 Collegiate Licensing Co. Licensee of the Year Award. Prior to successfully operating his own business, Allen played in both the NFL and NFL Europe from 1999-2001 with the San Francisco 49ers and Amsterdam Admirals.

The native of Murfreesboro, TN earned his Bachelor's of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Tennessee in 2001 and a Master's degree in Sports Management & Administration from Tennessee State University in 2007. While at Tennessee, Mikki was a four-year varsity letterman for the Volunteers, twice named Academic All-SEC, and a member of the 1998 National Championship Team.

Michael "Mikki" Allen is married to the former Jekia Burke of Knoxville, Tennessee. The couple has a young daughter, Mikenzie Rae Allen.
