FUND DRIVE
What is the Fund Drive?
The Fund Drive is the life and blood of the VASF. It begins each year on March 2 and ends the next year on the VASF Contribution Deadline - March 1. The Fund Drive was designed as a year-long fundraiser used to take the VASF to its donors and Tennessee fans across the country. Throughout each year, the VASF is assisted by a group of current donors, called Fund Drive Workers, who are seen as an addition to the staff. With the help of Fund Drive Workers, during the Fund Drive the VASF endeavors to increase the number of contribution renewals, the number of new contributors, and the amount of new money raised each year. The VASF staff equips the Fund Drive Workers with vital information needed to educate current and prospective donors regarding various sports updates, obtaining season tickets, deadline reminders, and current events.
What is a Fund Drive Worker?
A Fund Drive Worker is a current VASF donor who voluntarily gives of his/her time to assist the VASF staff in raising money for student-athlete scholarships and other athletic department operating costs. Fund Drive Workers are an extension of the VASF staff. They identify and recruit prospects, and eventually signup new VASF members. While interacting with Vol fans in their communities, Fund Drive Workers also assist the VASF in cultivating current and new donor and non-donor relationships. To become a Fund Drive Worker contact Jake Smith at (865) 974-1218.
