As part of the multi-year agreement, all three coaches' shows and men's and women's basketball games will be televised on FSN Florida, which reaches more than 5.3 million cable and satellite households in the state of Florida.
"SportSouth launched September 2006 with the goal of serving the interests of local sports fans across the Southeast, providing more coverage of their local teams and offering network-quality production values," said Jeff Genthner, senior vice president and regional manager of FSN South and SportSouth. "Our partnership with Host Communications and the University of Tennessee athletics department represents SportSouth's single-largest commitment to college sports programming since the network's launch. We are excited to bring Volunteer and Lady Volunteer athletics to more than 14 million cable and satellite homes in the Southeast on SportSouth and FSN Florida."
"The University of Tennessee is delighted to be joining forces with SportSouth and to be providing our fans across the Southeast a unique Vol and Lady Vol programming experience," said Tennessee Athletics Director Mike Hamilton. These combined audiences provide the Vol Network with the opportunity to reach more Tennessee fans with more programming than ever before."
Each week during the football season, SportSouth will televise The Lane Kiffin Show and replay football games. An additional primetime replay will be scheduled each week, with the telecast time dependent on other live programming on SportSouth.
