After an early loss in the Icy Hot/ITA Men's All-American Championships at The Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn., Mark Dietirch attempted to redeem himself in the consolation draw.
Dietrich defeated Louisville's Cody Conley 7-6(5), 7-5 in the first round of consolation competition. A bye then took the tall-Vol to the third round, where he was outplayed by Georgia's Nicolas Boeker 6-4, 6-3.
Junior Wade Orr will make the trip back to "Big Orange" country without a win in the championships, after he withdrew from the consolation draw due to an illness. Orr would have taken on the nation's 11th-ranked player, Stanford's David Martin.
