Tennessee sophomores Ockie Oosthuizen and Ben Rogers earned All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) due to their outstanding doubles team success this season and earned a final national ranking of No. 7.
The UT duo finished the season 29-12, with almost half of its victories (14) coming against ranked competition. In the fall, the Vol netters won nine straight matches and won the Southern Intercollegiate Doubles Championship. The tandem's 29 victories put it in the Tennessee record books with the fourth-most doubles victories in a season. Counting their eight victories in their freshman season, the pair now has 37 total career doubles victories, which tie them for fifth-most in Tennessee's illustrious tennis history.
Oosthuizen and Rogers were ranked as high as No. 5 this season and received a 5-8 seed for the NCAA tournament. They were the first Tennessee doubles tandem to be seeded in the NCAA tournament since 1988 when Shelby Cannon and Byron Talbot also received a 5-8 seed.
Senior Mark Dietrich finished his Tennessee career with a final ranking of No. 43 in singles. The Memphis native finishes his career 75-54 in singles and 75-35 in doubles. Dietrich spent his senior season playing at the No. 1 slot in the singles lineup and the No. 2 slot in the doubles lineup.
