FIVE TENNIS VOLS RANKED IN SOUTHEAST REGION

The Tennessee men's tennis team had three players ranked in singles and two doubles teams ranked in the Southeast Region tennis rankings which were released Friday.
Juniors Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel were ranked in both polls. Cameron had a singles record of 13-3 this season and won the A1 Flight of the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational. The Lenoir City native is the highest ranked Vol in the singles poll at No. 17. Hensel won his first seven matches of the season on his way to winning the Southern Intercollegiate Division II Singles Championship. Hensel is ranked 28th in the region. The two juniors teamed up in doubles and had a record of 13-6 including six wins over ranked opponents. Cameron and Hensel were one of 16 doubles teams invited to participate in the 2006 ITA National Intercollegiate.
Davey Sandgren's 14 victories in the fall led the team. The Gallatin, Tenn., native won the A2 Flight of the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational. The UT freshman is ranked 19th in the region.
Adam Hubble and Ben Rogers went 7-4 in the fall with two of those victories coming over ranked opponents. The duo began the fall season ranked 10th in doubles after they went 10-6 at the No. 1 position during the 2006 season. The UT tandem is ranked 8th in the region.
Tennessee's three singles selections is topped only by Georgia and Ole Miss who both had four. Tennessee, Georgia and LSU were the only schools to have more than one doubles team in the rankings. Thirty players were ranked in singles and 15 duos were ranked in doubles.
The Volunteers begin the spring season Jan. 19 in New Orleans at the SEC Men's Coaches Indoor Championships.
