#5/5 TENNESSEE VS. LIPSCOMB
Dec. 29, 2013 | 2:05 p.m. ET
Thompson-Boling Arena | Knoxville, Tenn.
LIPSCOMB TIP-OFF
- The #5/5 Lady Vols (10-1) will try to get back on the winning track on Sunday afternooon, as they play host to Lipscomb (3-7) at 2:05 p.m. at Thompson-Boling Arena.
- The matchup, the first-ever between these two Tennessee schools in women's basketball, will represent the final contest of 2013 for both teams.
- The game will not be televised, but it will be streamed live on UTSports.com for free with audio provided by Mickey Dearstone, radio play-by-play voice of the Lady Vol Network.
- Tennessee enters the contest after having a seven-day gap since its last game, a 76-70 loss at #6/5 Stanford on Dec. 21 that resulted in the Lady Vols' first setback of the season and a drop from No. 3/3 to No. 5/5 in the AP and USA TODAY polls.
- Coming off the Stanford game, UT has won the next contest eight-straight times since losing at Rutgers on Dec. 29, 2004, the last time UT played on 12/29.
- The Lady Bisons also are coming off a seven-day break from live action, but they journey to Knoxville seeking their first winning streak of the season after defeating Gardner-Webb, 86-68, on Dec. 21 at the Wright State Invitational in Dayton, Ohio.
- Lipscomb head coach Greg Brown was a graduate assistant (2002-03) and assistant (2003-04) at Tennessee, helping the Big Orange women win two SEC titles and earn a pair of NCAA runner-up finishes.
- Isabelle Harrison has posted double-doubles in her last three games and now has a team-leading four this season and 10 for her career.
