Tennessee received a wave of signees as the Early Signing Period wrapped up, and the Football team prepares to honor their seniors on Saturday.
Signing Day
SIGNING DAY -- Class of 2017 High School students from around the country officially signed their letter of intent to join the Vols during the early signing period this week.
Football
TEAM 120'S SENIOR CLASS -- Tennessee plays Missouri at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS this Saturday, but before the game the team will honor a special class of seniors.
Women's Basketball
LADY VOLS DOWN ETSU ON THE ROAD, 83-58 -- Redshirt junior Diamond DeShields dropped 28 points in No. 13/14 Tennessee's 83-58 win on the road against ETSU as the Lady Vols moved to 3-0 on the season.
Swimming & Diving
SMALL, STONE EARN SEC HONORS -- AMeghan Small was named SEC Swimmer of the Week and Liam Stone was named SEC Diver of the Week after their performances against Auburn, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Men's Basketball
VOLS ECLIPSE CENTURY MARK IN WIN OVER APP STATE -- Tennessee used a balanced attack to race past Appalachian State, 103-94, on Tuesday night at Thompson-Boling Arena for its first victory of the season.
Soccer
COUSINS SET TO MAKE U-20 WORLD CUP DEBUT -- Cousins is part of the United States squad that is going for its third FIFA U-20 World Cup title after winning the tournament in 2008 and 2012. The U.S. also won the first ever youth World Cup in 2002 when it was a U-19 tournament.
Volleyball
VOLS FALL TO AGGIES IN FOUR-SETTER, 3-1 -- The Tennessee Volunteers took momentum midway through the match but could not close out the fourth set Wednesday in a 3-1 (25-19, 25-20, 16-25, 27-25) loss to Texas A&M Thompson-Boling Arena.
Women's Tennis
PATRICK RESIGNS AS WOMEN'S TENNIS HEAD COACH -- University of Tennessee Athletics Director and Vice Chancellor Dave Hart announced Wednesday that Mike Patrick has resigned as the head coach of the women's tennis program. Patrick spent the last 30 years guiding the women's tennis program.
