Tennessee Claims Sixth At Jackrabbit Invitational

VALENTINE, Neb. -- The University of Tennessee's men's golf program finished sixth at the conclusion of the Jackrabbit Invitational on the Dunes Course at The Prairie Club on Tuesday.
The Vols shot 8-over 872 in the three-day event and totaled for 163 pars and 46 birdies.
Junior Lorenzo Scalise led the Vols, shot even-par and tied for 14th in the 54-hole event.
Juan Carlos Serrano Guevara collected 12 birdies and finished the day 1-over 217, tying for 20th.
On the course, senior Jack Smith tied for 24th and carded 3-over 219. Brayden Garrison posted 7-over 223 and tied for 41st.
Freshman Hunter Wolcott added 35 pars to Tennessee's total and carded 8-over 224, tying for the 46th position.
Rhys Nevin-Wharton competed as an individual and carded 12 birdies. Nevin-Wharton shot 5-over 221 and tied for 31st.
Up next, the Vols will return to their home state to take the field at the Blackthorn Intercollegiate in Jonesborough, Tenn.
