Tennessee Tidbits
- Tennessee's all-time record is 833-381-53. UT ranks ninth all-time in wins among NCAA Division I programs.
- McBride finished with a team-high 63 rushing yards, marking the first time a quarterback has led the Vols in rushing since Joshua Dobbs ran for a team-high 118 yards
- Kickoff was at 6:30 p.m. CT

McBride Starts at QB
- True freshman Will McBride started the game at quarterback. McBride is the first Tennessee true freshman to start since Joshua Dobbs started against Kentucky on Nov. 30, 2013. He is the ninth true freshman to start a game at quarterback in Tennessee's 121-year history.
- McBride's start against Missouri marked the first time since 2014 that UT had started three quarterbacks in one season.
- McBride's start also marked the first time that UT had started two freshman in the same season since 2013 when the Vols started then-redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman and then-true freshman Joshua Dobbs.
Warrior With The Pick-Six
- With 7:19 left in the first quarter, sophomore safety Nigel Warrior intercepted a pass from Missouri quarterback Drew Lock and returned it 70 yards to the end zone.
- It was UT's first pick-six since Daniel Bituli took an interception back 97 yards for a score against Alabama on Oct. 21.
- The interception was the first of Warrior's career.
- The interception was Lock's and Missouri's first pick-six allowed since playing Tennessee on Nov. 19, 2016, when Jonathan Kongbo picked him off in Neyland Stadium and returned it 59 yards for a score.
Vol Captains/Coin Toss
- The Tennessee team captains for Saturday's game against Southern Miss were junior defensive back Micah Abernathy, senior offensive lineman Jashon Robertson, redshirt senior defensive lineman Kendal Vickers and senior tight end Ethan Wolf.
- Tennessee won the coin toss and chose to defer to receive in the second half. Tennessee defended the south end zone.
- UT is 6-5 on coin tosses this season (5-5 on pregame coin tosses and 1-0 in overtime).
- In 2016, Tennessee won six out of 15 coin tosses, including six out of 13 pregame. The Vols did not win either of their two coin tosses in overtime. UT was 3-3 in 2016 when winning the pregame coin toss.
Tennessee-Missouri Notes
- Saturday's game marked the sixth all-time meeting between Tennessee and Missouri.
- The series is now even at 3-3
- The loss ended UT's two-game winning streak in the series. The Vols took a 19-8 win in Columbia in 2015 and a 63-37 win at Neyland Stadium in 2016.

- Will McBride completed a 19-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Wolf while getting hit with 1:15 remaining in the second quarter. It was UT's first passing touchdown since the UMass game. The play capped a 15-play, 66-yard drive for the Vols and after an extra point, the game was tied at 17-17. The touchdown pass was the first of McBride's career and Wolf's first since a 28-yard touchdown reception against Florida on Sept. 16.
