The Tennessee soccer team concludes its non-conference schedule Sunday with a home match against Virginia Tech at 6 p.m.
The Vols (7-0-0) take on Virginia Tech (6-0-1) in a battle of unbeatens on ESPNU. Both teams are are currently receiving votes in the United Coaches top 25 poll. Admission is free at Regal Soccer Stadium.Â

OPENING NOTES
- Tennessee is off to a 7-0 start, the best opening to a season in program history, surpassing the 5-0 start to 2012.
- UT's longest program winning streak is nine matches (2004).
- The Vols are now entering their final weekend of non-conference play having outscored opponents 16Â to 1.
- Newcomer junior Khadija Shaw leads the Vols with six goals scored, which would have been second on the team all of last season.
- Tennessee has five shutouts through six games. The Vols had eight shutouts last year.
- The Vols have not allowed a goal in the last 434 minutes.
LAST WEEK
- The Vols collected two more shutouts in the mid-state last week, defeating Belmont 3-0 and Middle Tennessee 2-0 on the road.
- Junior Khadija Shaw recorded the Vols' first hat trick since 2011, scoring three times to lead the Vols over Belmont. Two of the goals came within 40 seconds of each other in the first half. She was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Shaw also provided the game-winner against Middle Tennessee, scoring in the first half. Freshman McKinley Burkett added her third goal of the season.
- The Vols are now 4-0-0 on the road this season, all of the wins coming in shutouts.
