Tennessee head baseball coach Rod Delmonico will spend a week with Major League Baseball International traveling to Prague in the Czech Republic.
Once there, he will tutor coaches and players from 10 foreign countries in fundamentals and skills associated with the game of baseball.
Delmonico joins former major league infielder Bill Madlock and pitcher Bruce Hurst, along with major league scouts on the five-day excursion Aug. 15-19. Madlock played 15 seasons with six teams from 1973-87, including seven years with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Hurst was also a 15-year veteran with four teams from 1980-94, spending nine seasons with the Boston Red Sox.
It is the third trip Delmonico has made with MLB International. Last year, he traveled to Italy but has also made stops in Germany, Holland, Croatia and Austria.
