KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Over the past two weeks, two current Vols represented the program well. Check out the scores from Vols competing in the 11th Annual Tennessee Match Play Championship and the 2014 Northern Amateur here.
Right in our backyard, one current Tennessee men's golfer took part in the 11th Annual Tennessee Match Play Championship.
In Knoxville, Michael Monroe competed at Holston Hills Country Club and shot a 5-under par and 1-under par, respectively, in stroke play to advance to the Match Play Bracket. He defeated Lucas Armstrong 2 and 1 in the first round and Payne Denman 4 and 3 in the second round, before being eliminated in the semifinals by eventual champion, Brendon Caballero, in 19 holes.
Farther north, another current Tennessee men's golfer competed in the 2014 Northern Amateur.
Grant Daugherty competed at Sand Creek Country club in Chesterton, Indiana. Daugherty shot a 5-over par, 3-over par and 3-under par, respectively, to finish tied for 16th place.
